The
Sedgwick
harp
guitar
follows
the
style
of
Knutsen
and
the
famous
Dyer
harp
guitars
made
by
the
Larson
brothers.
The
upper
portion
of
the
sound
box
is
extended
on
the
bass
side,
similar
to
a
piano's
soundboard.
These
instruments
are
truely
custom
made
since
no
two
are
identical.
The
neck
to
body
join
is
at
the
14th
fret
where
most
harp
guitar
have it at the 12th.
The
most
common
arrangement
is
to
have
6
extra
bass
strings.

The
instrument
above
has
sharpening
levers
so
you
can
change
the
pitch
of
the
bass
strings
by
a
semi
tone
(half
step).
The
instrument
also
has
a
slotted headstock and abalone rosettes. This is one of the largest harp guitars I've built, similar in size to the old Dyer harp guitars.

This
harp
guitar
has
figured
Imbuya
(Brazilian
Walnut)
back
and
sides.
The
Brazilian
mahogany
neck
is
also
figured.
There
is
a
center
strip
on
the
back
as
well
as
purfling
on
the
back
and
sides.
The
case
was
custom
made
by
Calton
Cases.
This
instrument
is
currently
owned
by
Jan
Vanek
.

This
instrument
has
7
strings
on
the
fingerboard.
The
basses
fan
out
because
the
lowest
pitch
is
a
'D'.
This
instrument
has
European
spruce
front
with
Indian
rosewood
back
and
sides,
which
is
very
rare
and
difficult
to
find
for
harp
guitar
size.
This
headstock
is
similar
to
my
21-string,
which
was
also requested. The instrument is sitting on it's custom Calton case.
